Select the tutorial most appropriate for your needs (The first two should be down in order before moving onto the last two):

  • Basic - Learn the basic layout of the MAS, and use it to complete simple searches based on single or multiple parameters. Material and process searches are examined separately.

  • Advanced - The next step is to combine a process and material search, letting the MAS help you find the most suitable process/material combination.
  • Cost Estimates - The MAS provides dollar value cost estimates for some of its processes. This tutorial goes over sand casting and plastic injection molding.
  • Process Chains - There are two situations in which a process chain is better than a single primary process: extremely precise components and parts with varied tolerances. This tutorial describes how to define a part's geometry further in order to calculate a chain of subsequent processes.
